When God makes changes in our journey. |

Both mothers and fathers are of vital importance in building a great house. They are our cornerstones of society. Today, we focus on fathers since it is Father’s Day. Father’s Day began in June 19,1920, with Sonora Smart Dodd celebrating her civil war veteran father William Jackson Smart, a single dad who raised six children. It was not until 1966 that President Lyndon B. Johnson proclaimed Father’s Day to be observed annually, and in 1966, President Richard Nixon signed Father’s Day into law. Now, today, we celebrate fathers and we identify what makes a great father. |

What is the foundation to becoming a good father? Manhood. A man who builds his life on a right foundation to be a godly man will have the right foundation to be a good and even great father. It starts with every young man building his life as a man who pleases God. |

Throughout the Bible, we see God portrayed as a father. The greatest father is our God. He is a father to all and is a father available to all. Psalm 68:5 says that God is a “father of the fatherless.” He is our God and “Father of all,” who is “over all, through all, and in all” (Eph. 4:6). Let’s start with a clear picture of God our Father: His heart, His characteristics, and His healing power to all who need a loving father. |
